[:ja]私は、かなりの洗濯好き。
大抵のものは洗濯機で洗うが、デリケートな素材やお気に入りのニットはほとんど手洗いをする。手洗いが好きな理由は、手荒れしないからだろうね。
以前は、高額のものはドライクリーニングを利用していたが、夏の暑さが酷くなり、若い頃にはほとんど汗をかかなかった私も、汗をタラタラかくようになり（年齢のせいか？）、夏場はいちいちクリーニングに出していたのでは間に合わないし、お金もかかる。
それにクリーニングに出しても、ちっともきれいになった感じがしないし、石油系のニオイが気になることも手洗いをする理由のひとつ。ずっとクリーニングに出していたオフホワイトのセーターが黄ばんできて、ダメ元で手洗いしたら、元のきれいな色に戻った経験から、基本的にクリーニングは信用していない。
なので、洋服を買うときは、手洗いできるか、否かを必ず確認する。
まあ、表示に関わらず、自己責任で、ほとんどのものは手洗いするのだけど、大きな失敗は一度だけで、大抵は、仕上がりには満足している。
この洗濯表示が、12月1日からISO（国際規格）に統一される。
これに伴い、洗濯の絵表示が変わり、記号の種類も現行の約2倍の41種類に増える。
従来のJIS記号では、洗濯機と手洗いで表示が異なり、洗濯機は洗濯機を表すマーク、手洗いは桶のマークだったが、12月1日以降、「家庭洗濯」は全て桶マークになり、「手洗い」は、桶に手を入れているようなマークに。
なお、経過措置として、12月1日以前に表示を行った製品は、施行日以降もそのまま表示されるそうだ。しばらくは戸惑いそうな感じ〜。
